Terms of Service
Last updated: April 18, 2026
Welcome to CardForge. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CardForge website, accounts, and related features (collectively, the “Service”) operated by the CardForge team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Beta service
CardForge is currently offered as a closed beta to friends, family, and invited testers. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, may contain bugs, and may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Data loss is unlikely but possible during the beta period; we recommend exporting any deck you cannot afford to lose.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone; deletion is immediate and irreversible.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- violate any law or third-party right (including intellectual property rights);
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems, abuse APIs, or interfere with rate limits or security controls;
- upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or harassing;
- use the Service to spam, scrape at scale, or train automated systems without written permission;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of decks, comments, profile text, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display it for the limited purpose of operating and improving the Service. Public decks may be visible to other users; private decks are visible only to you.
6. Pokémon trademarks and fan-content disclaimer
CardForge is an unofficial fan project. Pokémon and all related names, trademarks, characters, and card images are the property of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and Game Freak Inc. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those companies. See our fan-content notice for details.
7. Subscriptions and payments
CardForge Pro is an optional paid subscription processed by Stripe. Pricing, billing cycle, and any free-trial terms are shown at checkout. You may cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and Pro features remain available until then. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us using the details below.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if continued provision creates legal or operational risk. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notice or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
